Description

This easy No Churn Ice Cream recipe requires no ice cream maker and combines sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and whipped heavy cream to create a rich, creamy dessert. Perfect for quick homemade ice cream with customizable add-ins like chocolate chips or caramel.

Ingredients

Ice Cream Base

  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper or wax paper, then chill it in the freezer to get ready for the ice cream mixture.
  2. Mix Sweetened Condensed Milk Base: In a large, chilled bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt until fully combined.
  3. Whip the Cream: In a second large, chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form to achieve a light and fluffy texture.
  4. Fold Cream Into Milk Mixture: Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture to lighten it, then fold in the remaining whipped cream to blend thoroughly without deflating the mixture.
  5. Add Optional Mix-ins: At this stage, fold in any desired add-ins such as chocolate chips, caramel swirls, peanut butter, or freeze-dried fruit for extra flavor and texture.
  6. Freeze the Ice Cream: Pour the finished mixture into the prepared pan and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm and scoopable.

Notes

  • Ensure both the mixing bowls and heavy cream are well chilled for best whipping results.
  • Do not overmix when folding whipped cream to maintain a light texture.
  • Store leftovers tightly covered in the freezer for up to one week for optimal freshness.
  • Feel free to experiment with different mix-ins to customize flavors.
