Description
This easy No Churn Ice Cream recipe requires no ice cream maker and combines sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and whipped heavy cream to create a rich, creamy dessert. Perfect for quick homemade ice cream with customizable add-ins like chocolate chips or caramel.
Ingredients
Ice Cream Base
- 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Pinch sea salt
- 2 cups heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper or wax paper, then chill it in the freezer to get ready for the ice cream mixture.
- Mix Sweetened Condensed Milk Base: In a large, chilled bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt until fully combined.
- Whip the Cream: In a second large, chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form to achieve a light and fluffy texture.
- Fold Cream Into Milk Mixture: Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture to lighten it, then fold in the remaining whipped cream to blend thoroughly without deflating the mixture.
- Add Optional Mix-ins: At this stage, fold in any desired add-ins such as chocolate chips, caramel swirls, peanut butter, or freeze-dried fruit for extra flavor and texture.
- Freeze the Ice Cream: Pour the finished mixture into the prepared pan and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm and scoopable.
Notes
- Ensure both the mixing bowls and heavy cream are well chilled for best whipping results.
- Do not overmix when folding whipped cream to maintain a light texture.
- Store leftovers tightly covered in the freezer for up to one week for optimal freshness.
- Feel free to experiment with different mix-ins to customize flavors.
