Perfect for gatherings or a cozy treat, it combines comforting cinnamon-spiced flavors with a simple dump-and-bake preparation.
Ingredients
Fruit Layer
- 40 oz apple pie filling (two 20-21 ounce cans)
Cookie Topping
- 17.9 oz snickerdoodle cookie mix
Butter
- ½ to 1 cup butter, melted (½ cup recommended, up to 1 cup to fully cover cookie mix)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C/Gas Mark 4) and lightly grease or spray a 9×13-inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
- Spread Apple Filling: Evenly spread the 40 oz of apple pie filling as the bottom layer in the prepared baking pan.
- Layer Cookie Mix: Sprinkle the 17.9 oz snickerdoodle cookie mix evenly over the apple pie filling. Gently break up any clumps to ensure an even layer.
- Pour Melted Butter: Slowly pour ½ to 1 cup of melted butter over the cookie mix, covering as much of the top layer as possible to help it bake crispy and golden.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the dump cake to cool slightly for 10-15 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
- Using 1 cup of melted butter will yield a richer, more moist topping, while ½ cup results in a crunchier texture.
- You can serve the dump cake warm alone or with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
- Make sure to evenly distribute the cookie mix and butter to ensure uniform baking and texture.
- Storage: Keep leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat gently before serving.
