Description

Teriyaki Steak Pineapple Sliders are a tropical twist on steak sandwiches, featuring juicy marinated steak, grilled pineapple, and zesty sweet chili mayo on soft slider buns—perfect for gatherings and BBQs.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
    1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
    1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
    1 tbsp honey
    1/2 tsp ground black pepper
    1/4 cup pineapple juice
    8 Hawaiian roll slider buns
    1 yellow onion, sliced
    2 jalapeños, sliced
8 canned pineapple rings (or fresh, grilled)
    1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
    1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp Thai sweet chili sauce (for mayo)
1 tsp sriracha hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Thai sweet chili sauce, garlic, chili garlic sauce, ginger, honey, black pepper, and pineapple juice. Add steak, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for 4–8 hours.
  2. Slice onion and jalapeños; shred cabbage.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat steak dry, season with pepper, sear in a skillet for 2 minutes per side.
  4. Add onions and jalapeños to the skillet; transfer to oven. Roast 10 minutes, flip steak and stir veggies, roast 10 minutes more.
  5. Let steak rest 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  6. Mix mayo, Thai sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a bowl to make chili mayo.
  7. Toast buns if desired. Spread mayo on bottom buns, layer steak, sautéed veggies, pineapple, cabbage, and top buns.

Notes

  • Marinate steak for at least 4 hours for maximum flavor.
  • Grilling pineapple enhances its sweetness and caramelizes edges.
  • Adjust heat by modifying chili sauce and sriracha quantities.
  • Store steak and toppings separately for best texture before serving.
