Description

A delightful and refreshing twist on the classic Italian tiramisu, featuring fresh strawberries and a luscious mascarpone cream layered with ladyfingers soaked in a strawberry jam and balsamic vinegar mixture. This no-bake dessert is creamy, fruity, and perfect for a summer treat or special occasion.

Ingredients

Strawberry Syrup

  • ⅓ cup strawberry jam
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ tsp balsamic vinegar

Mascarpone Cream

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Other Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 24 ladyfingers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mascarpone Cream: In a medium bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Using an electric or stand mixer set to medium-high speed, beat the mixture for 1 to 1½ minutes until it becomes smooth and thickened.
  2. Make the Strawberry Soaking Syrup: In a small bowl, mix together strawberry jam, water, and balsamic vinegar with a fork until well blended. Dip the ladyfingers into this mixture just enough to soak them without making them soggy.
  3. First Layer Assembly: Arrange a single layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of an 8”x8” or similarly sized baking dish.
  4. Add First Mascarpone and Strawberry Layers: Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers, then layer half of the sliced strawberries on top.
  5. Repeat Layers: Continue layering by placing another layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone cream, and finish with the rest of the sliced strawberries.
  6. Chill: Cover the dish tightly with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh ripe strawberries for the topping.
  • Dipping ladyfingers quickly prevents them from becoming too soggy.
  • The balsamic vinegar adds a subtle tang that complements the sweetness of the strawberries.
  • Chilling overnight enhances the texture and flavor fusion.
  • This recipe is a no-bake dessert, perfect for warm weather or when the oven is unavailable.
