Description

The Snowflake Martini is a festive and indulgent cocktail featuring a creamy blend of white chocolate liqueur, spiced rum, and heavy cream. Rimmed with a delightful mixture of shredded coconut and white sanding sugar, this cocktail offers a perfect balance of sweetness and tropical flair. Ideal for holiday gatherings or a cozy evening treat, this martini is shaken to a chilled perfection and served elegantly in a sugar and coconut-rimmed glass.

Ingredients

For the Cocktail

  • 3 oz. white chocolate liqueur
  • 2 oz. Captain Morgan spiced rum
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (or creamy coconut milk)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

For the Rim

  • 1 lemon wedge (for wetting the rim)
  • 1/4 cup white sanding sugar
  • 1/4 cup finely shredded coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rim mixture: In a flat shallow bowl, combine the finely shredded coconut flakes and white sanding sugar until evenly mixed for coating the glass rim.
  2. Coat the rim: Use the lemon wedge to wet the rim of your martini glass by running it around the edge. Immediately dip the rim into the coconut and sugar mixture, pressing gently to ensure a full and even coating. Set aside the prepared glass.
  3. Combine and shake: Pour the white chocolate liqueur, Captain Morgan spiced rum, and heavy cream into a cocktail shaker. Add ice cubes until about two-thirds full. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds, until the mixture is thoroughly chilled and well combined.
  4. Serve: Strain the chilled cocktail into the prepared rimmed glass. Serve immediately. You may double or triple the recipe for multiple servings.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with creamy coconut milk for a dairy-free twist.
  • Chilling the martini glass beforehand will keep the cocktail cooler for longer.
  • Adjust the amount of white chocolate liqueur and rum to taste for a lighter or stronger cocktail.
  • The rim mixture can be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container.
  • For extra flair, garnish with a small piece of white chocolate or a coconut flake on top.
