Description

Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats are a no-bake dessert that blends gooey marshmallows, buttery caramel, and crispy rice cereal, topped with flaky sea salt for the perfect sweet-salty flavor combo.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Stir in the caramel sauce until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until melted and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, if using.
  6. Gently fold in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer mixture to the prepared pan and press lightly using a buttered spatula or wax paper—don’t press too hard to keep them soft.
  8. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt while still warm.
  9. Let cool for 30–60 minutes at room temperature until set.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.
