Ready in just 10 minutes plus chilling time, this dessert requires no baking, making it an easy and delicious option for parties or simple sweet cravings.
Ingredients
Crust
- 25 Oreo cookies (regular, not double cream)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
Filling
- 25 Oreo cookie creamy white middles (from separated cookies)
- 1 cup whipping cream (very cold)
Instructions
- Separate the cookies: Carefully twist each Oreo cookie apart, placing the creamy white middles into a large mixing bowl and the top and bottom chocolate wafers aside for processing.
- Make crumbs: Place the separated cocoa wafer cookies into a food processor and pulse until finely ground into crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, put the wafers into a sealed Ziploc bag and crush them using your hands or a rolling pin until they become fine crumbs.
- Make the crust: Combine 2/3 of the cookie crumbs with the melted unsalted butter, mixing thoroughly. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch square pan to form the crust layer.
- Beat the cream: Add the separated creamy white Oreo middles into the bowl with the very cold whipping cream. Using an electric hand mixer, whip the mixture until fully combined and stiff peaks form, creating a smooth, fluffy filling.
- Layer: Spread the whipped cream and Oreo middle mixture evenly over the prepared crust. Sprinkle the remaining 1/3 of the cookie crumbs evenly over the top as a decorative and crunchy finishing touch.
- Chill: Place the dessert in the refrigerator and chill for 3 to 4 hours to allow it to set properly. Once chilled, slice into squares and serve cold for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Ensure whipping cream is very cold before whipping for best volume and texture.
- Use regular Oreo cookies, not double cream, for correct cream-to-cookie ratio.
- Press the crust firmly into the pan to create a solid base.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours; longer chilling will make slicing easier.
- This dessert should be stored in the fridge and consumed within 2 days for optimal freshness.
