Description

No Bake Banana Pudding is a classic Southern dessert made with layers of creamy vanilla pudding, fresh banana slices, and vanilla wafers, topped with fluffy whipped topping. Quick to assemble and perfect for warm days or potlucks, it’s a comforting, crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

  1. 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  2. 3 cups cold milk
  3. 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  4. 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
  5. 56 fresh bananas, sliced
  6. 1 box (11 oz) vanilla wafer cookies

Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.

  1. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined and creamy.
  3. In a 9×13-inch dish or trifle bowl, layer vanilla wafers on the bottom.
  4. Add a layer of banana slices over the wafers.
  5. Spoon a layer of the pudding mixture over the bananas.
  6. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor and texture.
  8. Before serving, garnish with extra banana slices or crushed wafers, if desired.

Notes

  • Best served after chilling for several hours or overnight.
  • Bananas may brown over time; tossing them lightly with lemon juice can slow this.
  • Can be made with banana pudding mix instead of vanilla for stronger banana flavor.
  • Do not freeze; texture becomes watery when thawed.
