- 100 g brown sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 100 g hazelnuts (finely crushed/chopped)
- 24 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for baking your cookies.
- Flour mixture: In a small bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, natural cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir these dry ingredients well and set the mixture aside.
- Butter mixture: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric hand mixer to beat the softened unsalted butter until it becomes very creamy. Add the brown sugar and continue beating until the mixture is fluffy. Then add the egg and vanilla extract, beating again until everything is well combined.
- Combine flour and butter mixtures: Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix on low speed just until the dough comes together without overmixing.
- Scoop dough: Using a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scooper, scoop dough portions into your hand to prepare for shaping.
- Roll cookies: Roll each dough ball gently between your palms to smooth it. Then coat it by rolling it either in granulated sugar or the finely crushed hazelnuts depending on your preference. Arrange the coated dough balls evenly spaced about 1 inch apart on the parchment-lined baking sheet to allow for spreading.
- Bake: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 7 to 8 minutes. Meanwhile, carefully unwrap all the Ferrero Rocher chocolates. When the cookies are out of the oven, immediately press one Ferrero Rocher chocolate onto the center of each cookie. Allow the cookies to cool completely or enjoy them warm for a gooey chocolate experience.
