Description

These Easy Oreo Truffles are a decadent no-bake dessert combining crushed Oreo cookies with smooth cream cheese, coated in melted vanilla and chocolate almond bark. Perfect for parties or snack time, they require minimal effort and deliver rich, creamy, and chocolatey bites that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Truffle Base

  • 36 Oreo cookies (1 package)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

Coating

  • Vanilla almond bark, melted
  • Chocolate almond bark, melted

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Using a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Alternatively, place them in a sealed plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese thoroughly until you get a smooth, well-blended mixture.
  3. Shape into Balls: Using a 1-inch cookie scoop or spoon, form the mixture into small balls and place them on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the balls for 1 to 2 hours until they firm up and are easier to handle.
  5. Dip in Almond Bark: Melt the vanilla and chocolate almond bark separately. Dip each chilled ball into the melted almond bark to coat it completely, then place back on the waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
  6. Drizzle Toppings: Using the remaining melted almond bark, drizzle over the coated truffles for decoration.
  7. Final Chill: Refrigerate the truffles for an additional hour or until the coating is firm. Store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator to keep fresh.

Notes

  • You can substitute the vanilla and chocolate almond bark with white chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips melted with a little vegetable oil.
  • For easier dipping, work in small batches to keep the almond bark melted and smooth.
  • These truffles keep well in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a festive touch, sprinkle crushed Oreos or sprinkles on the wet almond bark before it sets.
  • If cream cheese is too soft, chilling it slightly helps achieve better mixing and shaping.
