Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Chocolate Nut Clusters featuring melted baking chocolate combined with crunchy mixed nuts, chilled until set for a perfect bite-sized treat.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup baking chocolate chunks, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped mixed nuts, divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line a mini cupcake pan with paper liners to prevent the clusters from sticking and for easy removal.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place the chopped chocolate chunks in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each session until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Mix nuts with chocolate: Add all but 1 tablespoon of the chopped mixed nuts to the melted chocolate. Stir well to combine the nuts evenly throughout the chocolate.
  4. Form clusters: Use small spoons to scoop the nut and chocolate mixture, then drop it into each paper liner, filling about three-quarters full. Gently tap the pan to settle the mixture evenly.
  5. Add final nuts and chill: Sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of nuts over the top of each cluster for texture and garnish. Transfer the pan to the refrigerator and chill for 1 to 2 hours until the clusters are set and firm.

Notes

  • You can substitute mixed nuts with any preferred nuts such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans.
  • For a glossy finish, temper the chocolate before mixing with nuts.
  • Store the clusters in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh and crisp.
  • To speed up chilling, place the clusters in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  • These clusters make excellent gifts or party treats.
