Description
Campfire Cones are a fun and easy-to-make dessert perfect for outdoor gatherings. Filled with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and fresh fruit inside a waffle cone, then wrapped in foil and warmed over a campfire or grill, they create a deliciously melty and sweet treat with minimal effort and cleanup.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 Waffle cone
- 1/4 cup Mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup Chocolate chips
- 1/4 Banana, sliced
- 5 Strawberries, sliced
- 10 Raspberries
Instructions
- Prepare the cone base. Place a few mini marshmallows at the bottom of the waffle cone to prevent the melted chocolate from dripping out of the hole in the cone’s tip.
- Fill the cone. Stuff the cone with your choice of ingredients: mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, banana slices, strawberries, and raspberries.
- Fill generously. Pack the cone very full and high, ensuring a good amount of marshmallows and chocolate to melt nicely.
- Wrap the cone. Completely wrap the filled cone in aluminum foil to hold in the heat and prevent burning.
- Cook over heat. Place the foil-wrapped cones directly on a grill grate or over hot campfire embers for 3-5 minutes until the marshmallows and chocolate are melted.
- Unwrap and enjoy. Carefully remove the foil, let cool briefly, then enjoy your gooey campfire treat.
Notes
- Be cautious when unwrapping the cone as it will be hot and the melted chocolate can drip.
- You can substitute or add other fruits such as blueberries or sliced apples.
- Use sturdy waffle cones to prevent breaking during cooking.
- Cooking time may vary depending on the heat of the fire or grill.
- For a vegan option, use dairy-free chocolate chips and marshmallows.
