Description

Campfire Cones are a fun and easy-to-make dessert perfect for outdoor gatherings. Filled with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and fresh fruit inside a waffle cone, then wrapped in foil and warmed over a campfire or grill, they create a deliciously melty and sweet treat with minimal effort and cleanup.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 Waffle cone
  • 1/4 cup Mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1/4 Banana, sliced
  • 5 Strawberries, sliced
  • 10 Raspberries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cone base. Place a few mini marshmallows at the bottom of the waffle cone to prevent the melted chocolate from dripping out of the hole in the cone’s tip.
  2. Fill the cone. Stuff the cone with your choice of ingredients: mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, banana slices, strawberries, and raspberries.
  3. Fill generously. Pack the cone very full and high, ensuring a good amount of marshmallows and chocolate to melt nicely.
  4. Wrap the cone. Completely wrap the filled cone in aluminum foil to hold in the heat and prevent burning.
  5. Cook over heat. Place the foil-wrapped cones directly on a grill grate or over hot campfire embers for 3-5 minutes until the marshmallows and chocolate are melted.
  6. Unwrap and enjoy. Carefully remove the foil, let cool briefly, then enjoy your gooey campfire treat.

Notes

  • Be cautious when unwrapping the cone as it will be hot and the melted chocolate can drip.
  • You can substitute or add other fruits such as blueberries or sliced apples.
  • Use sturdy waffle cones to prevent breaking during cooking.
  • Cooking time may vary depending on the heat of the fire or grill.
  • For a vegan option, use dairy-free chocolate chips and marshmallows.
