Description

Triple chocolate cherry cookies are rich, chewy, and bursting with three types of chocolate and tart dried cherries. A perfect indulgent treat.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  2. 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  3. 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  4. 2 large eggs
  5. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  7. 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  8. 1 tsp baking soda
  9. 1/2 tsp salt
  10. 3/4 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  11. 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  12. 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  13. 1 cup dried cherries

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  1. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and dried cherries.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly soft.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill dough for 30–60 minutes to reduce spreading and deepen flavor.
  • Microwave individual cookies for 10–15 seconds to enjoy warm.
  • Substitute dried cherries with other dried fruits like cranberries or apricots.
  • Freeze cookie dough balls to bake fresh cookies on demand.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture.
