Ingredients
- 1 cup red lentils, rinsed and drained
 - 1/4 cup tomato paste
 - 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
 - Optional: pinch of chili flakes for heat
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
 - In a food processor, blend rinsed lentils until they form a coarse paste.
 - Transfer lentil paste to a mixing bowl and stir in tomato paste, chopped basil, garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and chili flakes if using. Mix well until combined.
 - Spread mixture thinly and evenly onto prepared baking sheet, about 1/8-inch thick.
 - Bake for 20-25 minutes, then remove and carefully cut into chip-sized squares or triangles.
 - Return to oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until chips are crisp and browned at edges.
 - Let cool completely on a wire rack before serving for maximum crunch.
