Ingredients
Sweet Potato Bites
- 2 sweet potatoes (about 1 lbs)
 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
 - 1/4 tsp salt

Toppings
- 4 medium-sized marshmallows, halved
 - 2 tbsp maple syrup
 - 8 pecan halves

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) to warm up while you prepare the sweet potatoes.
 - Prepare Sweet Potatoes: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut each into four even slices to create bite-sized pieces.
 - Coat Sweet Potatoes: Place the slices in a bowl, drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with salt, and toss until each piece is evenly coated.
 - Initial Baking: Arrange the coated sweet potato slices evenly on a baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes, then flip each slice to ensure even cooking and bake an additional 10 minutes until tender and slightly browned.
 - Switch Oven Setting: Remove the tray from the oven and switch your oven to the grill/roast setting to prepare for toasting marshmallows.
 - Add Maple Syrup: Drizzle the maple syrup evenly over the baked sweet potato slices to add sweetness.
 - Top with Marshmallows: Place halved marshmallows on top of each sweet potato slice.
 - Grill the Marshmallows: Place the tray back under the grill/roast setting and cook for 2–3 minutes, watching carefully, until the marshmallows are golden and toasted.
 - Finish with Pecans: Remove from the oven and top each marshmallow-topped sweet potato bite with a pecan half for a crunchy finish.
 - Serve Warm: Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy these cozy, festive bites fresh from the oven.

Notes
- Keep a close eye on the marshmallows when grilling to prevent burning.
 - You can use either fresh or frozen sweet potatoes, but fresh offers the best texture.
 - For an extra touch, sprinkle a little cinnamon or nutmeg on the sweet potatoes before baking.
 - These bites are best served immediately for optimal marshmallow gooeyness.
 - Leftovers can be gently reheated in the oven but marshmallows may not be as soft.
