Description
This Sweet Hummus recipe transforms traditional chickpea hummus into a delightful dessert dip featuring cinnamon, vanilla, peanut butter, and sweet maple syrup, combined with oats and candy-coated chocolates. Perfect for scooping with graham crackers, it’s an easy and fun twist on classic hummus to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 1 15-oz can chickpeas, drained, rinsed, and peeled
 - 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
 - 2 to 4 tbsp pure maple syrup
 - 1/2 cup rolled oats
 - 3/4 cup candy coated chocolates, plus more for topping
 - Graham crackers for dipping

Instructions
- Prepare the base: Add the peeled chickpeas, natural peanut butter, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to a food processor. Blend until the mixture is smooth, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides to ensure even blending.
 - Adjust sweetness: Taste the hummus and if you prefer it sweeter, add extra maple syrup, up to 4 tablespoons total, blending again briefly to incorporate.
 - Add texture with oats: Add the rolled oats to the food processor and pulse a few times just to combine. Keep some texture as you don’t want the oats completely ground down to maintain a chunky consistency similar to a monster cookie dip.
 - Mix in chocolates: Remove the hummus from the processor into a bowl and gently fold in the candy-coated chocolates. Reserve some chocolates to sprinkle on top as garnish if desired.
 - Serve: Spoon the sweet hummus into a serving dish, top with extra candy-coated chocolates, and serve alongside graham crackers for dipping. Enjoy this unique and delicious dessert dip!

Notes
- Peeled chickpeas help create an ultra-smooth texture, but this step is optional.
 - Use natural peanut butter with no added sugar for better flavor balance.
 - Adjust the maple syrup amount to suit your preferred sweetness level.
 - For added crunch, consider mixing in some chopped nuts along with the chocolates.
 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
