Description

Delight in these luscious Strawberry Shortcake Truffles, a decadent no-bake treat combining creamy cream cheese, moist Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake Rolls, and a sweet strawberry-flavored chocolate coating. With a crunchy Oreo and jello mix center, these bite-sized delights are easy to make and perfect for parties or an indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Truffle Base

  • 10 Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake Rolls
  • 4 oz. Cream Cheese

Filling

  • 12 Golden Oreos, crushed
  • 3 oz. Strawberry Jello Mix
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter

Coating

  • 2 bags Strawberry and Cream Chocolate Melts

Instructions

  1. Combine Base Ingredients: Place the strawberry shortcake rolls and cream cheese in a stand mixer bowl and mix on high speed until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  2. Chill the Mixture: Transfer the batter to the freezer and let it chill for one hour, firming up for easier handling.
  3. Form Truffle Balls: Lay out parchment paper on a baking sheet. Scoop out about one tablespoon of the chilled dough and roll into a ball. Place each ball on the parchment paper and return the tray to the freezer to keep firm.
  4. Prepare Filling Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the crushed Golden Oreos, strawberry jello mix, and melted butter. Mix thoroughly until evenly blended. Set aside.
  5. Melt the Chocolate: Place the strawberry and cream chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in one-minute intervals, stirring after each interval until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  6. Coat the Truffles: Dip each frozen truffle ball into the melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool. Remove and gently shake off any excess chocolate. Place the coated truffle back on the parchment paper.
  7. Decorate and Set: Sprinkle each coated truffle with the prepared Oreo-jello mixture for added texture and flavor. Allow the chocolate coating to set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
  8. Serve: Once the chocolate has hardened, serve these delicious strawberry shortcake truffles and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the truffle mixture is well chilled for easier rolling and dipping.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent the truffles from sticking during freezing and setting.
  • You can substitute strawberry-and-cream melts with white chocolate plus strawberry flavoring if unavailable.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
  • Allow truffles to sit at room temperature a few minutes before serving for best flavor and texture.
