Description

Strawberry Chocolate is a delicious and indulgent treat that combines the sweetness of ripe strawberries with the rich, smooth flavor of chocolate. Whether served as a dessert, a snack, or a special occasion treat, this combination never fails to impress. The vibrant red of the strawberries paired with the deep brown of the chocolate creates a stunning visual and an irresistible taste experience. This simple yet luxurious pairing is sure to become a favorite in your household.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled
8 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate (chocolate chips or bars)
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for extra smoothness)
Optional toppings: sprinkles, crushed nuts, sea salt, or shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Make sure the strawberries are completely dry to ensure the chocolate adheres properly.
  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate and coconut oil (if using) together. You can do this by placing the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or by microwaving the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is well-coated. For extra decadence, dip half of the strawberry or drizzle the chocolate in a pattern over the top.
  4. If desired, add toppings such as sprinkles, crushed nuts, or a pinch of sea salt immediately after dipping the strawberries.
  5. Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet or tray. Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
  6. Serve and enjoy! You can also store any leftovers in the refrigerator for a few days.

Notes

  • Milk Chocolate Strawberries: If you prefer a sweeter chocolate, substitute semi-sweet or dark chocolate with milk chocolate.
  • White Chocolate Strawberries: Use white chocolate for a different flavor and contrast in color. You can even drizzle both dark and white chocolate for a beautiful presentation.
  • Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Bites: Instead of dipping whole strawberries, slice the strawberries into bite-sized pieces and dip them into the chocolate for a fun twist.
  • Stuffed Strawberries: Hollow out the center of the strawberry and fill it with cream cheese, mascarpone, or whipped cream before dipping it in chocolate for a richer flavor.
