Description

This Starbucks copycat Strawberry Acai Lemonade is a refreshing, fruity beverage combining the tartness of lemon and acai with the natural sweetness of fresh strawberries and white grape juice. Perfect for a bright, summery drink, it balances sweet and tangy flavors with vibrant fruit powders, made easily at home and served over ice with fresh strawberry slices.

Ingredients

Strawberry Syrup Base

  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 cup white grape juice
  • 1 cup sliced and hulled fresh strawberries
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

Flavor Enhancers

  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp acai powder
  • ½ tsp passionfruit powder
  • ½ tsp citric acid

Refresher and Garnish

  • ½ cup Strawberry Acai Refresher Base
  • ½ cup lemonade
  • 2 tbsp sliced and hulled fresh strawberries
  • Ice as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine water, white grape juice, 1 cup of sliced strawberries, and granulated sugar. Stir the mixture and heat it until it reaches a simmer, then allow it to simmer gently for 10 minutes to infuse flavors and dissolve the sugar.
  2. Strain the Mixture: After simmering, strain the strawberry mixture using a fine mesh sieve, pressing the strawberries to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids and return the strained liquid to the saucepan.
  3. Add Flavor Powders: Warm the strawberry liquid over low heat and whisk in lemon juice, acai powder, passionfruit powder, and citric acid. Continue whisking until these ingredients are fully incorporated; note that acai powder may leave small specks and does not dissolve completely.
  4. Cool the Syrup: Remove the saucepan from heat and pour the strawberry acai syrup into a large jar. Let it cool completely at room temperature before proceeding.
  5. Mix the Refresher: In a serving glass, stir together ½ cup of the cooled strawberry acai refresher base and ½ cup of lemonade.
  6. Serve: Pour the mixture over a glass full of ice, garnish with 2 tablespoons of fresh sliced strawberries, and enjoy your refreshing homemade strawberry acai lemonade.

Notes

  • The acai powder does not fully dissolve and may leave specks in the drink, which is normal and safe to consume.
  • Adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of granulated sugar based on your preference.
  • For a more intense passionfruit flavor, increase passionfruit powder slightly but do so cautiously as it can be potent.
  • If you can’t find acai or passionfruit powder, they can be omitted, but the flavor will be less authentic.
  • Use freshly hulled strawberries for the best flavor impact.
  • The Strawberry Acai Refresher Base can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
