Description

This Steak Cobb Salad combines the bold flavors of tender steak with fresh greens, creamy avocado, crispy bacon, and tangy dressing. A protein-packed and healthy alternative to heavier meals, it’s the perfect meal for lunch or dinner. With various customization options, this dish is ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 pound flank steak or sirloin steak

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

4 cups mixed greens (e.g., arugula, spinach, romaine)

2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced

1 avocado, diced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cucumber, sliced

1/4 red onion, thinly sliced

4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/4 cup blue cheese or feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette or your favorite dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Rub the steak with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.

  3. Grill or sear the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust for your desired doneness. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

  4. While the steak rests, arrange the mixed greens on a large platter or bowls. Top with sliced hard-boiled eggs, diced avocado, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, crumbled bacon, and blue cheese.

  5. Slice the steak and arrange on top of the salad.

  6. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette or preferred dressing.

  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Variations: Swap steak for grilled chicken, shrimp, or vegetarian protein options like chickpeas or tofu.

  • Customization: Add more vegetables, like bell peppers or radishes, or spice things up with sliced jalapeños.

  • Cheese Options: If you don’t prefer blue cheese, try feta, goat cheese, or cheddar
