Description

These Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Crispy Potatoes are the perfect one-pan dinner—juicy, seared steak paired with golden, seasoned potatoes, all coated in a rich garlic butter sauce. Whether for a quick weeknight meal or a fun appetizer, this hearty and flavorful dish is a must-try!

Ingredients

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

For the Potatoes:

  • 1 lb (450g) baby potatoes, halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Cook the potatoes – Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and potatoes, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
  • Prepare the steak – While the potatoes cook, season steak bites with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
  • Sear the steak – In the same skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  • Add garlic butter – Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, stirring to coat the steak bites in the melted butter. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Combine and serve – Return potatoes to the skillet, tossing everything together. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ribeye or New York strip for extra tenderness.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Swap potatoes for sweet potatoes for a slightly sweeter flavor.
  • Serve with garlic aioli or chimichurri sauce for dipping.
