Description

Spicy Seasoned Pretzels are crunchy, flavorful snacks coated in a zesty blend of spices that deliver the perfect balance of heat and savory goodness. These easy-to-make pretzels are great for parties, snack time, or whenever you crave a spicy kick.

Ingredients

6 cups pretzels (mini twists or sticks)
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. In a large bowl, toss pretzels with olive oil or melted butter until evenly coated.
  2. In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the pretzels and toss well to coat evenly.
  4. Spread the seasoned pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pretzels are toasted and fragrant.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving.

Notes

  1. Add a teaspoon of brown sugar for a sweet-spicy flavor.
  2. Use hot sauce or sriracha mixed with oil for a different spicy coating.
  3. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese after baking for a cheesy twist.
  4. Toss with chopped fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for added aroma.
  5. Use gluten-free pretzels to make this snack gluten-free.
