Ingredients
1 lb (450g) spaghetti
1 lb (450g) ground beef or ground turkey
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Cook spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cook meat and vegetables: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef (or turkey) over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add onion and garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened.
