Description

This festive Snowman Cheese Ball Dessert is a fun and creative treat perfect for holiday gatherings or winter parties. Made by combining cream cheese with funfetti cookie mix and white chocolate pudding mix, then shaped into a snowman and decorated with colorful candies and sanding sugar, this no-bake dessert is both visually delightful and deliciously creamy with a sweet crunch.

Ingredients

Cheese Ball Base

  • 4 (8 oz) blocks of Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 oz) bag Funfetti Cookie Mix
  • 1 (3.4 oz) box White Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar

Coating & Decoration

  • 1 cup White Sanding Sugar
  • 7 Mini Chocolate Chips (for eyes and smile)
  • 1 Nerds Candy Corn (orange, for nose)
  • 1-2 tablespoons Flour (for hands and to prevent sticking)

Serving

  • Graham Crackers and Cookies (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Food Safety – Heat Cookie Mix: Place the dry funfetti cookie mix into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring if needed, until it reaches an internal temperature of 160-165°F to ensure safety. Allow the cookie mix to cool completely before use.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a stand mixer bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cooled cookie mix, white chocolate pudding mix, and powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated into a smooth dough.
  3. Chill Mixture: Refrigerate the combined mixture for one hour to allow it to firm up and make it easier to shape.
  4. Form Cheese Balls: Wearing gloves, lightly dust your hands with flour to prevent sticking. Divide the chilled mixture into three sizes of balls: large (body), medium (middle), and small (head). Wrap each cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap, then refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set completely.
  5. Coat with Sanding Sugar and Assemble: Remove the wrapped balls from the fridge and unwrap them. Roll each cheese ball in white sanding sugar until fully coated. On a serving plate, place the large ball first, then stack the medium ball on top, followed by the small ball to form the snowman shape. Pour any remaining sanding sugar around the base to cover any visible spots.
  6. Add Facial Features: Use seven mini chocolate chips to create two eyes and a smiling mouth on the snowman’s head. Attach an orange Nerds candy corn for the nose. These decorations will give your snowman a charming and festive appearance.
  7. Serve: Present the snowman cheese ball with graham crackers and cookies, allowing guests to scoop and enjoy the creamy, sweet dessert spread.

Notes

  • Make sure the cookie mix is fully cooled after heating to prevent melting the cream cheese during mixing.
  • Using gloves and flour helps prevent the dough from sticking to your hands while shaping.
  • You can prepare the cheese balls a day in advance and keep refrigerated to enhance flavor and firmness.
  • If sanding sugar is unavailable, fine granulated sugar can be used but the texture may differ slightly.
  • Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator and consume within 3-4 days for best freshness.
