Description
Fluffy, golden donuts coated with silky chocolate glaze, topped with gooey marshmallow, and sprinkled with crunchy graham cracker crumbs—a bakery-style twist on the classic campfire treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (optional, for chocolate donuts)
- 2 tsp baking powder (or yeast for fried version)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup milk or buttermilk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (or oil for frying)
- 1 cup chocolate chips or melting chocolate
- 1 cup mini marshmallows or 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
- 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers
Instructions
If baking, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan. If frying, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder (if using), baking powder, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat eggs with milk and melted butter. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth (for fried version with yeast, allow dough to rise until doubled).
- For baked donuts: pipe batter into greased donut pan and bake for 10–12 minutes. For fried donuts: roll and cut dough, then fry for 1–2 minutes per side until golden.
- Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Dip cooled donuts into chocolate glaze. Spread or pipe marshmallow creme on top, or place marshmallows and toast lightly with a kitchen torch or broiler.
- Sprinkle crushed graham crackers over the top. Serve immediately for best texture.

- For filled donuts, inject marshmallow creme into the center before glazing.
- Dark chocolate can be used for a richer, less sweet glaze.
