Description
Rich and Fudgy Peanut Butter Brownies are ultra-decadent treats featuring a gooey chocolate base swirled with creamy peanut butter. Perfectly balanced between sweet and salty, these brownies are a must-try for chocolate and peanut butter lovers.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped (or 2/3 cup chocolate chips)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter (warmed slightly for swirling)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate together in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until mixture is glossy and well combined.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir gently until just combined—do not overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Drop spoonfuls of warmed peanut butter over the batter. Swirl gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares for clean edges.
Notes
- Do not overbake—fudgy brownies are achieved by pulling them out when slightly underdone.
- Natural peanut butter can be used, but stir thoroughly to incorporate the oil.
- Chill brownies before slicing for clean cuts.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top before baking for added flavor contrast.
- Add extra chocolate chips for even more gooey texture.
