Description
Pecan Pie Crescents are a quick, handheld twist on classic pecan pie, made with refrigerated crescent dough and filled with a sweet, nutty mixture of pecans, brown sugar, and butter. Perfect for holidays, parties, or easy snacking.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Stir well.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
- Spoon a small amount of pecan mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up triangles from the wide end, tucking in filling as needed.
- Place crescents on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake 10–12 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving. Optional: drizzle with extra melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Notes
- Do not overfill to prevent leakage.
- Toast pecans beforehand for deeper flavor.
- Add chocolate chips or cream cheese for fun variations.
- Best served warm but also tasty at room temperature.
- Drizzle with glaze or caramel for extra sweetness.
