Description

Peanut Butter Mug Cake is the perfect quick dessert for peanut butter lovers. This warm, gooey treat is made in minutes and requires just a few ingredients for a rich and satisfying dessert experience.

Ingredients

  1. 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    3 tablespoons granulated sugar
    1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    Pinch of salt
3 tablespoons milk (or dairy-free alternative)
2 tablespoons peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or melted butter
    1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
    Optional toppings:
    A dollop of peanut butter
    Whipped cream
    Chocolate chips
    A sprinkle of crushed peanuts

Instructions

Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.

  1. Add the Wet Ingredients: Add the milk, peanut butter, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir until the batter is smooth and lump-free. The batter should be thick but spreadable.
  2. Microwave: Microwave the mug on high for 1 minute. Check the cake, and if it’s not set yet, continue microwaving in 15-second intervals until it has risen and is cooked through but still soft in the middle. Avoid overcooking to prevent dryness.
  3. Serve: Let the mug cake cool for 1-2 minutes before serving. For extra flavor, top with a dollop of peanut butter, whipped cream, chocolate chips, or crushed peanuts.

Notes

  • For a chocolatey twist, add cocoa powder or chocolate chips to the batter.
  • If you don’t have peanut butter, you can substitute with almond butter or sunflower seed butter.
  • Top with chocolate chips, whipped cream, or fruit for a customizable dessert.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for 1-2 days, reheating in the microwave for a few seconds.
