Description

Peanut Butter Chocolate Acorn Truffles are no-bake, bite-sized treats that combine creamy peanut butter and chocolate in a festive acorn shape, perfect for fall celebrations, parties, or edible gifts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs or crushed pretzels
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips (for melting and coating)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (for decoration)
  • Pretzel sticks (broken into small pieces for stems)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until a thick dough forms.
  2. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes to firm up for easier handling.
  3. Roll the dough into small oval shapes to resemble acorns and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Refrigerate the shaped truffles for an additional 15 minutes.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  6. Dip the wider end of each truffle into the melted chocolate to form the acorn cap, letting any excess drip off.
  7. Decorate the chocolate-dipped end with mini chocolate chips and insert a small pretzel stick piece into the top as the stem.
  8. Place the truffles back on the parchment-lined sheet and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until set.
  9. Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight container for storage.

Notes

  • Use no-stir peanut butter for best texture.
  • Try almond or cashew butter for a different flavor.
  • Chilling the dough is essential for easy shaping.
  • Decorate with sprinkles, crushed nuts, or toffee instead of mini chocolate chips.
  • Great for making ahead and freezing.
