Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and cornstarch. Stir well to coat the peaches evenly and set aside.
 - In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
 - Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until a thick batter forms.
 - Transfer the peach mixture to a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
 - Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the peaches, covering as much of the surface as possible. Don’t worry if it’s not perfectly covered—some peach will peek through.
 - Sprinkle the top with a tablespoon of sugar for extra sweetness and a nice crust.
 - Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
