Description

This Nutty Caramel Ice Cream is a rich and creamy dessert made without an ice cream maker. Combining the lusciousness of whipped heavy cream with sweetened condensed milk, swirled with caramel sauce and crunchy walnuts and pecans, it offers a delightful texture and flavor perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Ice Cream Base

  • 16 oz heavy cream
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk

Flavorings & Toppings

  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream: Add the heavy cream to a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, and beat on high speed for 3 minutes until it forms stiff peaks and is light and fluffy.
  2. Incorporate the sweetened condensed milk: Slowly add the sweetened condensed milk to the whipped cream and beat on high speed for an additional 1 minute to fully combine the mixture into a smooth, creamy texture.
  3. Add caramel and nuts: Gently fold in the caramel sauce and the walnuts and pecans with a quick stir to evenly distribute the flavors and crunch without deflating the whipped cream.
  4. Transfer to freezing container: Pour the mixture into a bread pan or similar container and cover tightly with plastic wrap to prevent ice crystals from forming.
  5. Freeze until firm: Place the container in the freezer for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight, until the ice cream is fully set and ready to serve.

Notes

  • For extra texture and gooeyness, drizzle additional caramel sauce and sprinkle more nuts on top before serving.
  • This recipe does not require an ice cream maker and is very easy to prepare at home.
  • Use high-quality caramel sauce and fresh nuts for the best flavor.
  • Make sure to cover the ice cream well to avoid freezer burn or ice crystals.
  • Allow the ice cream to sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping for easier serving.
