Description

Delightful Nutella Crescent Rolls featuring flaky, buttery crescent dough generously filled with creamy Nutella, baked to golden perfection, and drizzled with melted chocolate. This easy-to-make recipe offers a quick and indulgent treat perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack.

Ingredients

Crescent Rolls

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls (8 rolls)
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Chocolate Drizzle

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Alternatively, line the basket of an air fryer with parchment paper if you prefer that method.
  2. Unroll Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough package and separate it into 8 individual triangles.
  3. Fill with Nutella: Spread about 1 tablespoon of Nutella evenly over each dough triangle.
  4. Roll Up Dough: Carefully roll each triangle starting at the wide end to form crescent shapes.
  5. Arrange Rolls: Place the rolled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet or air fryer basket, ensuring they have some space to expand.
  6. Egg Wash: Use a pastry brush to coat each roll with the beaten egg. This step gives the rolls a lovely golden brown finish.
  7. Bake or Air Fry: For oven baking, bake the rolls for 11 to 13 minutes until golden brown. If using an air fryer, cook at 330°F (165°C) for 5 to 6 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  8. Cool Slightly: Remove the rolls and allow them to cool briefly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to finish cooling slightly.
  9. Melt Chocolate Chips: Place the chocolate chips in a resealable plastic bag and microwave for 30 seconds. Knead inside the bag until fully melted and smooth.
  10. Drizzle Chocolate: Cut a small corner off the bag and drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled crescent rolls for an indulgent finishing touch.

Notes

  • You can substitute Nutella with any other chocolate hazelnut spread or even peanut butter for variation.
  • If you prefer extra gooey centers, add small pieces of chocolate chips inside the dough before rolling.
  • For a dairy-free version, use a dairy-free crescent dough and egg substitute for the egg wash.
  • Serve warm for the best experience, though leftovers can be reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
  • Ensure parchment paper is used in the air fryer to avoid sticking, but do not cover the air fryer vents.
