Description

No-Bake Cookies are a quick and easy treat that combines chocolate, peanut butter, and oats into a rich, gooey, and satisfying snack, requiring no baking at all.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
    2 cups of granulated sugar
    1/2 cup of milk
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 cup of peanut butter
    1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3 cups of old-fashioned rolled oats
    A pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the mixture: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the sugar, milk, and cocoa powder. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Once it reaches a boil, let it cook for 1-2 minutes without stirring.

  1. Add peanut butter and vanilla: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until the peanut butter is fully melted and combined.
  2. Mix in the oats: Stir in the oats until everything is well combined, and the oats are fully coated with the chocolate-peanut butter mixture.
  3. Form the cookies: Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use the back of the spoon to slightly flatten them, if desired.
  4. Let them set: Allow the cookies to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour, or until they have firmed up.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Once the cookies have set, enjoy them immediately or store them in an airtight container.

Notes

  • You can add shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or mini chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
  • Use dark chocolate or milk chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder for a different chocolatey taste.
  • For a vegan version, use dairy-free butter and plant-based milk.
  • If you prefer other nut butters, you can substitute peanut butter with almond, sunflower, or cashew butter.
  • These cookies can be stored in the fridge to firm up further if desired.
