Description

Mango Crumble is a tropical twist on the classic dessert, combining sweet, juicy mangoes with a buttery oat topping baked until golden and crisp. Perfect served warm with ice cream or cream, this dessert is both comforting and refreshing.

Ingredients

  1. 4 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  2. 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  3. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  4. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  5. 1/2 cup rolled oats
  6. 1/3 cup brown sugar
  7. 1/3 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  8. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  9. Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

  1. In a mixing bowl, toss diced mangoes with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the cubed butter and cut it into the mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the mango layer.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the mango filling is bubbling.
  6. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Add chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts for extra crunch.
  2. Mix shredded coconut into the topping for a tropical twist.
  3. Use almond flour and gluten-free oats for a gluten-free version.
  4. Substitute butter with coconut oil or vegan butter for a vegan option.
  5. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
