Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking this will make it easy to remove the marshmallow treats once set.
- Melt butter and marshmallows: On medium heat, melt the butter in a medium-sized pot. Once completely melted, add half of the marshmallows along with the vanilla extract. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and combined with the butter, creating a smooth mixture.
- Mix in cereal: Turn off the heat and add the Lucky Charms cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture. Stir thoroughly until all the cereal is evenly coated.
- Add remaining marshmallows: Add the remaining marshmallows and continue stirring until they are partially melted and well incorporated, adding extra gooeyness and texture to the treats.
- Transfer to pan and set: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Using a spatula lightly coated with butter or non-stick spray, press the mixture evenly into the pan. Allow the treats to cool and set at room temperature for about 45 minutes to 1 hour before cutting into squares and serving.

- Press the mixture gently into the pan without compacting too hard to keep treats light and chewy.
- For extra marshmallow flavor, sprinkle the optional ¼ cup Lucky Charms marshmallows on top before pressing into the pan.
