  • Marshmallows, cut into pieces


Instructions

  1. Prepare Icing Bags: Fit a 16-inch piping bag with a #4 tip and fill it with white icing. Prepare two 12-inch piping bags with #2 tips, filling one with black icing and the other with colored icing for the scarf and nose. If you only have one bag with a #2 tip, use a coupler to switch between black and colored icing.
  2. Set Up Workspace: Clear your counter and arrange your cookies on a sheet pan or parchment paper, leaving space to work comfortably in front of you.
  3. Outline and Fill Cookies: Take one cookie and outline a round or irregular shape on it using white icing, then fill the area in completely with white icing.
  4. Add Marshmallow: Place a marshmallow piece on the white icing. Cover the marshmallow with more white icing to secure it. Add an orange sprinkle or pipe an orange nose with the colored icing if desired. Return the cookie to the sheet pan and let it dry slightly. Repeat for all cookies.
  5. Pipe Scarves and Noses: Take each cookie again and pipe a scarf around the marshmallow using your colored icing. Add or refine the nose with colored icing if not using sprinkles. Return cookies to the pan to dry.
  6. Add Facial Features and Details: Using black icing, pipe the eyes, mouth, buttons, and branch-like arms on each snowman cookie. Repeat for all cookies.
  7. Drying: Allow the decorated cookies to air dry completely so the icing sets well.
  8. Storage: Store the finished cookies in an airtight container for 3-5 days to maintain freshness.
