Description

Honey garlic chicken breasts are the perfect choice for a quick, flavorful dinner. The balance of sweet honey and savory garlic creates a mouthwatering glaze that pairs perfectly with the tender chicken. This simple yet delicious recipe requires minimal ingredients and is ideal for busy weeknights or impressing guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Make the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and oregano (if using). Stir until the honey dissolves.
  • Sear the chicken: Heat a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  • Add the sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the skillet, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  • Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Rest & Serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then serve with the extra sauce spooned over the top.
