Description
This High Protein Frozen Yogurt is a creamy and refreshing treat made with simple ingredients, offering a healthy, high-protein alternative to store-bought frozen yogurt.
Ingredients
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (preferably full-fat or low-fat)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (or your preferred flavor)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (or any sweetener of your choice)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
Instructions
Mix the ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, protein powder, honey (or sweetener), vanilla extract, and almond milk. Stir until all ingredients are well combined, and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Chill the mixture: Pour the mixture into a shallow container or dish. Cover it with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the freezer. Allow it to freeze for about 4-6 hours, or until firm.
- Scoop and serve: Once frozen, take the yogurt out of the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly for easier scooping. Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy!
- Add toppings (optional): Feel free to top your frozen yogurt with your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit, granola, chocolate chips, or nuts for added texture and flavor.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1-2 weeks.
- If it becomes too hard in the freezer, allow it to soften at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- For a smoother texture, you can use an ice cream maker to churn the mixture according to your ice cream maker’s instructions.
- Customize with different sweeteners or milk options to fit dietary needs.
