Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, as per preference)
2 avocados, diced
1 medium tomato, diced
1 small red onion, finely diced
1 lime, juiced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
-
Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).
-
Once the grill is hot, place the salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
-
While the salmon grills, prepare the avocado salsa by combining the diced avocados, tomato, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
Once the salmon is cooked, remove from the grill and plate it.
-
Top the grilled salmon fillets with the avocado salsa and serve immediately.
Notes
-
For added heat, you can include diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce in the avocado salsa.
-
Serve on a bed of greens like arugula or spinach for extra crunch.
-
Use orange or lemon juice instead of lime for a different citrus twist.
-
For a dairy variation, sprinkle crumbled feta or cotija cheese on the salsa.
