Description

Grilled Ras El Hanout Chicken is a Moroccan-inspired dish featuring tender chicken marinated in a spiced yogurt blend and grilled to perfection for a smoky, aromatic flavor.

Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp Ras El Hanout spice blend
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp salt
Fresh parsley or mint, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, Ras El Hanout, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and salt to form a marinade.
  2. Add chicken to the marinade and coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off.
  4. Grill chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until charred and cooked through (internal temp 165°F/74°C).
  5. Transfer to a platter, garnish with herbs, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Overnight marination yields the best flavor.
  • Adjust spice level by adding cayenne or chili flakes to the marinade.
  • Serve with couscous, rice, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
