Description

Grilled Mozzarella Sandwiches are a classic comfort food combining gooey, melty mozzarella cheese and crispy, golden-brown bread. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, it’s a simple yet satisfying dish.


Ingredients

  1. 2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or white)
    4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
    1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
    Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Butter one side of each slice of bread evenly with the softened butter.

  1. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, onto a heated skillet over medium heat.
  2. Layer the fresh mozzarella slices on top of the bread in the skillet.
  3. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing it down lightly with a spatula to ensure even toasting, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  5. Remove from the skillet, slice diagonally, and serve warm.
