Description

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, honey, Dijon mustard, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.

  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.

  • Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), and the chicken is golden brown with grill marks.

  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate for 30 minutes for basic flavor, or up to 1-2 hours for more intense flavor.

  • You can substitute chicken thighs if preferred, but be aware of a longer cooking time.

  • For added flavor, try fresh herbs like basil or rosemary, or a touch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
