Description
Grape sorbet is a refreshing, fruity, and naturally sweet frozen dessert made with grapes, lemon juice, and a touch of optional sweetener. Smooth, vibrant, and dairy-free, it’s the perfect treat for hot days or a light, elegant dessert.
Ingredients
- 4 cups seedless red or purple grapes (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1–2 tbsp maple syrup or agave (optional, to taste)
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
If using fresh grapes, wash, dry, and freeze them in a single layer for 4–6 hours or overnight.
- In a blender or food processor, combine frozen grapes, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth, scraping sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with maple syrup or agave if grapes are tart. Blend again to incorporate.
- For firmer sorbet, transfer mixture to a container and freeze for 1–2 hours before serving.
- Scoop into bowls or cones and garnish with fresh mint, if desired.
Notes
- Red or purple grapes yield a sweeter, richer sorbet than green grapes.
- No ice cream maker needed—just a blender or food processor.
- For ultra-smooth texture, strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve before freezing.
- Add herbs like mint or basil for a refreshing twist.
- A splash of vodka or white wine creates a softer, adult-friendly sorbet (may alter freezing).
