Description

This Gooey Brownie Pie is the ultimate chocolate lover’s dream, combining the fudgy texture of brownies with the comforting richness of pie. With a gooey, thick center and a crisp, buttery pie crust, this decadent dessert is easy to make and perfect for any occasion. Serve it warm with ice cream or enjoy it chilled – either way, this indulgent dessert will have everyone coming back for more!

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade, if preferred)
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set it aside.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until fully combined.
  3. Add the Dry Ingredients: Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just combined. The batter should be thick and glossy.
  4. Add Chocolate Chips (Optional): Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips for extra gooeyness.
  5. Pour the Batter into the Pie Crust: Carefully pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set, but the center remains slightly gooey when tested with a toothpick.
  7. Cool: Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. The center will continue to set as it cools but will stay gooey.
  8. Serve: Slice and serve warm with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans for a nutty variation.
  • Swirl in 1/4 cup of peanut butter or drizzle caramel sauce for a fun twist.
  • Serve with a scoop of your favorite ice cream for extra indulgence.
