Description

A cozy and aromatic Gingerbread Latte made with freshly brewed espresso, warm spices, and frothed whole milk, perfect for a festive coffee treat.

Ingredients

Espresso Mixture

  • 6 oz freshly brewed espresso
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp molasses (divided)
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger (optional)

Milk

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Mix espresso and spices: Add the hot espresso, brown sugar, half of the molasses (1/4 tsp), cinnamon, and ground ginger (if using) into a mug. Stir well until the brown sugar is completely dissolved to combine all the flavors.
  2. Froth the milk: Froth the whole milk to your desired texture using a milk frother or by heating and whisking vigorously. Frothing helps create a creamy, light foam that enhances the latte experience.
  3. Combine and garnish: Pour the frothed milk over the spiced espresso mixture in the mug. Drizzle the remaining molasses over the top and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and/or ginger as desired. Serve immediately and enjoy a warm, festive latte.

Notes

  • You can use a steam wand, handheld frother, or whisk to froth the milk.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar and molasses.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute whole milk with almond, oat, or soy milk.
  • Ground ginger is optional but adds a nice warmth; omit if you prefer a milder spice flavor.
  • This recipe is best enjoyed fresh to preserve the foam texture and warmth.
