Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Glaze: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil.
  3. Coat the Cod: Place cod fillets on the baking sheet and brush the glaze generously over them.
  4. Bake: Cook for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  5. Garnish & Serve: Top with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • Swap cod for salmon, halibut, or tilapia.
  • Use maple syrup or brown sugar instead of honey if needed.
