Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
1/2 cup granola (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup fresh mixed fruit (berries, banana slices, kiwi, mango, etc.)
1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup (if using) for added sweetness.
- Start layering your parfait in a glass or jar, beginning with a spoonful of yogurt at the bottom.
- Add a layer of fresh fruit on top of the yogurt. Use a variety of fruits like berries, banana slices, and kiwi for flavor and color.
- Add a layer of granola for crunch.
- Repeat the layers with more yogurt, fruit, and granola until the glass is full.
- Top with a final layer of yogurt, sprinkle with granola, and add more fresh fruit as desired.
- Optionally, sprinkle chia seeds or flaxseeds on top for added nutrition.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a tropical twist, use pineapple, mango, and papaya, and add shredded coconut.
- Add chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts for extra crunch.
- For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
- Incorporate citrus like orange or grapefruit for a refreshing, zesty flavor.
- Add cocoa nibs or chocolate chips for a sweet treat.
