Ingredients

For the Firecracker Marinade:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • ¼ cup hot sauce (Sriracha or buffalo sauce)
  • 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For Cooking & Garnish:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for pan-searing)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for added richness)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic powder, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them.
  3. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour for deeper flavor).
