Ingredients
Cookies & Candy
- 6 regular-size Nutter Butter cookies
- 15 oz. bag Reese’s Peanut Butter pieces (you will need about 60 pieces)
- 12 green Air Heads candy pieces
- 6 candy/lollipop sticks
Chocolate & Peanut Butter Mixture
- 2/3 cup Wilton white chocolate melts
- 1 Tablespoon creamy Peanut Butter
Tools
- Kitchen scissors
- Wax or parchment paper
Instructions
- Prepare the workspace: Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper and set it aside to place the finished cookie pops on.
- Melt the white chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the Wilton white chocolate melts for 40 seconds, then stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Separate cookie tops: Carefully pull the top piece off each Nutter Butter cookie and set these aside for later use.
- Attach sticks to cookie bottoms: Dip the top 2 inches of each candy/lollipop stick into the melted white chocolate, then firmly stick it onto the bottom half of each cookie, the piece that still has peanut butter icing. Replace the cookie tops back over the stick and let them set for 2 to 3 minutes so they adhere properly.
- Make peanut butter chocolate coating: Add 1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter to the remaining melted white chocolate and stir well until fully incorporated, which will give the chocolate a light brown, peanut butter tint.
- Coat the cookie pops: Dip each cookie pop into the peanut butter chocolate mixture, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Then gently lay each dipped cookie pop on the prepared wax paper.
- Decorate like corn cobs: Arrange about 60 Reese’s peanut butter pieces in two vertical rows on the front of each cookie pop to resemble kernels on a corn cob. Press them gently into the chocolate coating to secure.
- Prepare candy leaves: Unwrap the green Air Heads candy pieces and use kitchen scissors to cut each piece into the shape of a leaf.
- Attach leaves: If the melted chocolate has hardened, reheat it for 10 seconds to soften. Dip the ends of each candy leaf into the melted chocolate and adhere 2 leaves per cookie pop to the back and sides, mimicking corn husks. Lay the assembled cookie pops gently on the wax paper again.
- Set and cool: Let the Fall Nutter Butter Stalks set and harden for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use creamy peanut butter for easy mixing with the melted white chocolate.
- Be gentle when handling dipped cookie pops to avoid damaging the chocolate coating before it sets.
- If the chocolate hardens while decorating, warm it briefly in the microwave to make it pliable again.
- Store the finished cookie pops in a cool, dry place to prevent melting.
- These treats are perfect for kids’ parties, fall festivals, or as festive additions to holiday dessert tables.
