Ingredients
Cookie Dough Bites
- 113 g Unsalted butter, room temperature
- 55 g Brown sugar
- 55 g Granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 130 g All-purpose flour, heat treated
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 90 g Mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat Treat the Flour: Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F). Spread the all-purpose flour evenly on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes to kill any bacteria. Allow the flour to cool completely to room temperature before using. Alternatively, you can heat treat the flour in the microwave, but the oven method ensures better control over temperature.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: Using an electric hand mixer, cream the room temperature unsalted butter with both the brown sugar and granulated sugar for several minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy. Then add the vanilla extract and mix briefly to combine.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Gradually fold the heat-treated flour and salt into the butter and sugar mixture using a rubber spatula. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the dough.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips: Add the mini chocolate chips and carefully fold them into the dough to distribute evenly.
- Form Dough Bites: Divide the cookie dough evenly into 12 portions and roll each portion into a ball. Optionally, place a few extra mini chocolate chips on top of each ball for garnish.
- Chill or Serve: You can enjoy these cookie dough bites immediately for soft texture or refrigerate them for 30 minutes if you prefer them firmer.
- Storage: Store the cookie dough bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh and prevent drying out.
